a Lifetime of Art
Jennifer Buxton was one of the United Kingdom's foremost miniature portrait painters.
Over the course of her life she created thousands of drawings and paintings of
people;
landscapes of her beloved Lake District and other locations in the UK, Canada, France and Australia;
portraits of tigers, horses, dogs, cats and other animals; and Her Majesty's submarines.
Jennifer spent the last 10 years of her life raising money and awareness for the preservation of
wild tigers
within the national parks of central India. The funds she raised through
art sales, lectures and donations went directly to conservation and education efforts in Panna and Bandhavgarh National Parks in Madhya Pradesh, including the rebuilding of the
Madla Village School.
