Ulverston Exhibition, December 2017
On 11 - 13 December 2017 there was an exhibition of Jennifer's artwork at the Coronation Hall in Ulverston, Cumbria. Approximately 200 paintings, drawings, miniature portraits and sculptures were on display, and below we've given you a look at almost all of the artwork that was exhibited.
If the walls in the photo look rather bare, it's because by the time it was taken. later on day #2, many of Jennifer's pictures had already been sold. But you can still enjoy almost all of them here.

Portraits of Birds
Jennifer always had a love for birds. Here we have a small selection of her pictures: the pigeons and the cockerel belonged to her friend Clive, whose hen coop provided not only inspiration, but also fresh eggs! The black-throated divers are Canadian Loons, truly the voice of the Canadian wilderness on long summer evenings.

Portraits of Cats
A cat wasn't part of Jennifer's family until after she and Vic moved to the Lake District. First there was William; then Katya, who appeared on their doorstop as a kitten, and announced that she was moving in and adopting them.
These drawings and paintings are just some of the collection. Tigers of course are cats too, so check out the
India Gallery as well.

Portraits of Dogs
Dogs were an important part of Jennifer's family throughout her adult life. The pictures here are of one of her first dogs, Sharkey the Cocker Spaniel, of her Norwegian Buhund, Chimo (Yukon Jack), and of her last dog Meg, who was a rescue. Others are some of the drawings and paintings she did on commission.

Portraits of Horses
As a young girl, Jennifer rode horses when she could at a stable just outside London. As an adult, she and her husband Vic owned horses when they lived in Bath, and also later in the Lake District. Most of these pictures are of her own horses: a Palomino mare, Musette, a Connemara called Shara, and Lorri, the foal from one of her Connemaras. Her husband Vic had a fell pony, Rosie, which she also painted many times, and which lead to commissions with the Fell Pony Society for cards and drawings.
